CAT ‘N’ KITTEN CUP CAKE DAYS

AAPS are holding a special cat adoption weekend.

We currently have numerous cats and kittens awaiting adoption and we would love you to come along and adopt one or maybe two very needy cats or kittens.

  • Shelters around Victoria euthanase thousands of cats and kittens every single day, simply because there are too many cats and not enough responsible, potential owners.

The cats and kittens come to us through no fault of their own and some are surrendered to us simply because their former owners are moving or the novelty has worn off and they no longer want the cat.

If you can provide a stable, responsible and loving forever home for any of our cats or kittens, we would truly love to welcome you and introduce you to them. They are all absolutely beautiful. Feline companionship is one of the most rewarding experiences of life.

WHEN:

Saturday 20th March, 2010 – 10.00am to 3.00pm and Sunday 21st March, 2010 – 11.00am to 3.00pm.

WHERE:

AAPS, 10 Homeleigh Road, Keysborough.

Special cup cakes will be baked for the weekend and there are prizes to be won for the lucky adopters on both days. Lots of bargains will also be available at our shelter Op Shop.

PLEASE NOTE:

Good News! Our bunnies can now be adopted, and we can start taking in surrendered and stray bunnies again.

Our special Fundraising Committee.

As most of our loyal members & supporters are aware, AAPS is a not for profit organisation. The society relies heavily on the proceeds from our five opportunity shops, the proceeds of our outpatients veterinary clinic & also public donations & bequests to keep afloat for the sake of the animals in our care.

We are very lucky to now have a special Fundraising Committee. Click here to read more about our Fundraising Committee and new Fundraising page where all our fundraising activities will be listed in future............

If you would like to contribute to any of our fundraising events or if you have any ideas, please contact fundraising@aaps.org.au

We thankyou all in advance for your much needed support.

A note about adoption hours:

Please note that our adoption hours are Monday to Saturday 10.00am to 3.30pm. On Sundays, our adoption hours are 11.00am to 3.00pm. If you are interested in meeting & adopting any of our animals, please consider that the whole adoption process can take up to 40 minutes so please allow enough time to view & meet the animals, keeping in mind that our adoptions must close at the specified times & all relevant paperwork finalised by those times. It can be very stressful for our volunteers & staff when customers come with the intention of adopting our animals nearing our adoption closing times. Thank you.

URGENT! ..... PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

It’s not such a pleasant life to be stuck in an animal shelter when you’re a rabbit or a guinea-pig. We try our very best to make them happy & healthy while they wait for their new homes so this is where we desperately need your help. We would greatly appreciate FRESH donations o fendive, bok choy, choy sum, dutch carrot tops, parsley, broccoli, pak choy, wombak, chicory, radish tops, cos lettuce. Also, we need oaten or grass hay and bags of oaten chaff.

Anybody who wants to donate but lives too far away, or simply can't get in, you can use Safeway Online to deliver food to help the bunnies. https://www.homeshop.com.au/
